A great way to get involved in a low-pressure manner is to join one of TMC's committees! No matter what your skill set, there is most likely a committee that will suit you. If you would like more information regarding volunteer opportunities, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Camp & Enrichment Fair Committee
Three or four team members are needed to work with the Fair Coordinator to post flyers to advertise the event, work on the event booklet, and help out on the day of the fair. Much of the pre-event work can be done from home. This is a great way to learn about all of the camp & enrichment opportunities available in the area. This event is held annually in February/March. Email email@example.com for more information!
TMC Cares Committee
Join a great group of women as we work together to research, identify groups, and plan events to gather items of need for local non-profit organizations, which serve children and families in our greater community. Our mission is to provide opportunities to TMC members to help teach their children about the gift of giving, while encouraging goodwill and contributions in the community. TMC Cares holds a 2 hour monthly meeting. Valuable skills for position are excellent communication skills (especially via email), ability to work with a team, creativity, and interest in getting involved and networking in the needs of the local community and area non-profits. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
The Events Committee is a great way to get involved with very little time commitment. You can choose to plan a unique event or to simply be a TMC representative at a planned event. Events can be as simple as hosting a 1-hour meet-up at a playground, a craft activity at a senior center, or a walk at a park. As you get more comfortable, you can plan “bigger” events like coordinating a get-together at an indoor play space, a farm tour, a moms night out, or whatever you think is fun! And the best part is it is scheduled around your schedule. There is no meeting requirement for this committee, all you have to do is come up with the idea for an activity and then attend it! Email email@example.com for more information!
Wouldn’t you love to get a home-cooked meal when you are going through life’s inevitable changes? The TMC Hospitality Committee is looking for volunteers to make and deliver meals to other members a few times a year. Our committee provides a nutritious meal to those who may need the extra help (new addition to the family, personal or health crisis, etc.). The requests come in to the Coordinator who then emails the committee and you sign up to cook/deliver as needed. So if you’re too busy one month, no problem, grab the next one! This is an easy way to get involved and make someone’s day! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
Looking for a night out with the girls? Mailing committee meets once a month (except summer) to make sure the newsletter reaches your mailbox. Join other TMC moms for some snacks, drinks, and a chat while you prepare the newsletter for mailing. This is a fun, easy way to volunteer and meet other moms.
Preschool Fair Committee
Three or four team members are needed to work with the Fair Coordinator to post flyers to advertise the event, work on the event booklet, and help out on the day of the fair. Much of the pre-event work can be done from home. This is a great way to learn about all of the preschool opportunities available to your children. This event is held annually in November. Email email@example.com for more information!
Seasonal Parties Committee
TMC hosts several events each year. Our Annual Halloween Party, Holiday Party, Spring Fling and Family Fun Day are some of our most anticipated programs each year. If you love to plan events, this is for you! If you and some friends are interested in becoming more active as volunteers, this is a great position to share.
