TMC Cares is once again holding our annual Backpack drive for the YWCA of Northeastern Massachusetts! This program serves over 300 school-age children between the ages of 6 and 15 in the Lawrence and Haverhill communities to help children start the school year off right. Most are from low-income families, where the cost of backpacks and school supplies is truly a hardship. We need your help to meet (or pass!) our goal of 50 backpacks filled with supplies to donate. This is a great opportunity to get your children involved in doing something positive for other kids - whether it is having them help you pick out the supplies or joining us to help fill the packs. Supplies Needed: - Backpacks - Rulers - Single subject spiral notebooks - Double pocket folders - Small packs of Pens - Colored Markers - Colored Pencils - Pencil Cases You can bring items to any TMC event this month - and be on the lookout for a few additions! - or contact Jackie at tmccares@themotherconnection.org to arrange for them to be picked up. You may also drop off supplies by July 29th at 3 Bedford Place (Andover) or 77 Lovejoy Road (Andover).
...and don't forget to sign up to fill backpacks with the Seniors @ Methuen Village! This year we will be filling the backpacks with our friends at Methuen Village! Please join us on Monday, July 30 at 10:30 am where the kids will work with the Senior Residents to fill the packs with supplies. Such a rewarding day for everyone!
