Baby Connection is a weekly drop in class for children ages 6 to 12 months old. This class encourages the connection between caregiver and child but also the adult interaction as many TMC classes do. Join our instructor Mia to encourage babies to learn and improve their gross motor, fine motor, sensory and cognitive development. Though the use of materials such as scarves, instruments, bubbles, music and even a parachute you and your babies are bound to have an interactive, engaging & fun hour! This group will meet every Friday mornings from 11:00-12:00pm at the SHED Children's Campus in Andover and is intended for babies ages 6-12 months old.

This group is led by Mia Blum, an early childhood educator at SHED Children's Campus. Mia grew up in North Andover and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education at Endicott College. Mia can be reached at babies@themotherconnection.org.

About the Instructor

Mia Blum grew up in North Andover, MA.  She just completed her bachelors degree at Endicott College and is enrolled in the fifth year program through Endicott’s graduate school where she will be getting her masters in Early Childhood Education. During her last semester at Endicott, she completed her senior internship at Bright Horizons at Brickstone, where she worked in the infant and toddler classrooms. Mia can’t wait to use what she learned from the teachers there in her TMC groups!

Mia has been working with children since she was fourteen years old and says, "My passion is working with children, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. My favorite thing about working with kids is their curiosity and contagious energy." Her favorite nursery rhymes are Itsy Bitsy Spider and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. Her favorite childhood toddler book is Good night, Gorilla and Click, Clack, Moo. One fact about Mia is that she has a new puppy named Cannoli - a 4 month old Sheepadoodle.
